As students move from elementary to higher grades, Assistance League Tulsa adapts its support to meet their changing, individual needs. Annually, a budget is determined for each qualifying school site, based on the school’s economic profile. Assistance League Tulsa has a team of compassionate volunteers that directly liaison with Tulsa Public School staff to identify the best ways to serve their student population.
- School site clothes closets stocked with uniform pants, shirts and other items to meet immediate needs of students.
- Personal care closets purchased either locally or through an online shopping platform, allowing school personnel to select the specific items their students need.
- School supplies, including items such as backpacks, calculators and other items that students and their families find are difficult to fit into family budgets.
- School spirit wear ensuring students have appropriate items to wear on free uniform dress days.
Assistance League Tulsa Scholar Awards (ALTSA):
ALTSA is an Operation School Bell educational program supporting Tulsa Public Schools students concurrently enrolled in high school and college coursework. Students attending Tulsa Community College are eligible to have their TCC coursework fees covered through these awards. Assistance League Tulsa partners with TPS and the Foundation for Tulsa Schools to administer these funds and does not work directly with individual students.
