Community Impact

From nearly five decades, Assistance League Tulsa has committed to serving student’s attending Tulsa Public elementary schools through our Operation School Bell® programs.  To determine the level of services an individual school may receive, site specific economic profiles are utilized.  Students are then served through one or more of the following Operation School Bell program:

COMMUNITY IMPACT:  Assistance League Tulsa donated 55,825 volunteer hours, which equates to a monetary value of $1,942,160, to the Tulsa community.

  • Our signature program, Operation School Bell®, provides students in Tulsa with new clothing and essential items to help them be prepared learners. In the school year 2024 – 2025 Assistance League Tulsa served 23,597 students from 138 schools in 13 districts.
    • Volunteers served an estimated individual 3,000 Tulsa Public School elementary students from 46 schools in the Assistance League Tulsa building.
    • Assistance League Tulsa funded 1,705 elementary students from 12 outlying school districts from 71 schools by providing clothing at Tulsa area Walmart stores.
    • Volunteers delivered 26,386 uniform shirts to 35 Tulsa Public Elementary Schools.
    • Assistance Leage Tulsa distributed 7,040 books to students.
    • Volunteers provided clothing and essential items to 8,699 secondary school students.
    • Three Assistance League Tulsa programs, Online Store, Hi & Dry bags, and Stock our Schools (SOS), provided personal care and clothes closets at 90 schools.
  • Assistance League Tulsa Scholar Awards (ALTSA) program covered 225 course fees totaling $39,140 for Tulsa Public School juniors and seniors concurrently enrolled at Tulsa Community College during the 2024–2025 school year.
  • The Betty Bradstreet Arts and Education Awards bestowed $70,807 to 59 Tulsa County Fine Arts teachers last school year, directly supporting classroom needs and benefiting 17,739 students.
  • In collaboration with the Tulsa Regional STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) Alliance, during the 2024 – 2025 school year, volunteers assembled and distributed 13,246 STEM-in-a-bag kits to 6,325 students.
  • In 2024 in partnership with Life Senior Services, Assistance League Tulsa provided 310 Holiday stockings and totes of household items for senior citizens. In 2025, Assistance League Tulsa gave two new metal picnic tables with attached benches for use at the new Life Senior Services facility.
  • Volunteers provided clothing, household essentials, holiday stockings, and fulfilled wish list requests for four Mental Health Association of Oklahoma living centers.
